Do you want to join the DHHS Swim & Dive team? Please complete this Google Form.
You cannot come to ANY water practices until your eligibility has been confirmed on DragonFly Max. Make sure everything has been uploaded and you’ve selected “Mixed Swimming – Varsity” as your sport. If you show up to practice (or a meet) without all documents being cleared on DragonFly, you will be unable to enter the building.
DHHS practices will be capped at 18 swimmers per session, BUT we will have two sessions available each day. You are not required to come to any sessions, or you can come to one every day, BUT you MUST sign up for your practice slot(s) using this Google Sheet. If a slot is full and you show up without signing up, you won’t be allowed in the building. If no one is signed up by 11:59p on the prior day, the slot will be cancelled.Swim practices will be held at Lakeside High School on Monday through Friday at 7:15a-8:15a OR 5:00p-6:00p, beginning TBA. Dive practices will be Mondays and Wednesdays at 4:00p. Athletes should arrive at practices already in suit and should come with everything needed to leave in suit as well. You will not be permitted to use the locker rooms. When you arrive to practices, you will wait outside in your cars. You must wear a mask from the time you get out of your car until you are getting into the water. Prior to entering the building, athletes will complete a verbal questionnaire with a manager or coach at the door, submit to a temperature check, and sanitize their hands. Do not attend practice if you have experienced any COVID-19 symptoms, traveled to a COVID-19 hot spot, or been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of your practice slot. Parents, siblings, friends, etc. will not be permitted to enter the pool building for practices under any circumstances. As each swimmer enters the building, they will report to a designated space on the bleachers and remain there until practice begins. Bleachers will be sanitized before and after each practice. No shared equipment will be used.
