Coed Varsity Track · DHHS TRACK ALUMNUS WINS 1 MILLION DOLLARS!!


Standout quarterback Darrell Doucette (Druid Hills High School track alumnus), who never played a snap of football in high school, threw for 242 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed for 88 yards.  He lead his team, “Fighting Cancer,”  based out of New Orleans, to victory in the American Flag Football League (AFFL) Ultimate Championship game and won 1 million dollars!

His team that consisted of former high school and collegiate athletes, plus one former NFL player.  They defeated the pro team, Godspeed, 26-6. consisting of Olympic gold-medalists and NFL athletes with 61 years of experience! The victory was televised on the NFL Network on Thursday, July 19.  Way to go!!
